Financial Services Providers Register (FSPR) New Zealand

The FSPR is a register for individuals, businesses and organisations that offer financial services. The FSPR ensures that all financial services providers (FSPs) are registered to provide financial services legally. It aims to achieve greater accountability and transparency in the financial sector.

The FSPR’s key objectives include:

  • Providing an electronic register of FSPs as mandated by the Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008.
  • Assisting New Zealand to comply with international obligations to prevent both money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
  • Increasing the transparency of public information related to FSPs, their licensed services, as well as related dispute resolution schemes.
  • Regulating and assessing those who are involved in the management of FSPs.
